To the Editor:
My husband and I feel very blessed to have such great neighbors.
Becky and Greg have three wonderful children, which they should be very proud of – especially their oldest, Alex. During these winter months, when we have had significant snow, we have come home to find our driveway shoveled.
With the snow March 5, I was home from work and heard our neighbors running their snow blower. Looking out our front window, I saw Alex shoveling our driveway. I did yell out that he didn’t have to do it, as my husband would use the snow blower when he got home from work. Alex continued to shovel the whole drive and walkway up to our front door.
I then asked Alex if he had been the one to shovel the previous two times, and he smiled and said yes. Alex didn’t want to accept pay for his hard work, but I insisted, and told him his parents should be proud of him.
To see the quality of doing good deeds in a middle school person instilled in me that there is still much good being done in this world.
