Amazing ignorance

To the Editor:

I am amazed at the ignorance of some people.

A few years ago, Crystal Lake hosted part of the Gay Games on the lake and there were some people who didn’t want it because they did not want their children to acquire AIDS swimmimng in the same lake as “those people.” Really?

Now I read Mr. Frantz’s March 16 letter to the editor opposing same-gender marriage because he thinks a gay man will dress as a woman and teach kindergarten and use the wrong washrooms? Really?

Being a gay man or a gay woman does not mean you dress as the member of the opposite sex, so I suggest you read the definition more carefully. I also suggest to judge yourself before you judge others. Are you not supposed to love your neighbor as yourself?

I don’t know about yours, but the God I worship and pray to does not discriminate. He loves everyone. As I recently read, there are only two things God can’t do: He can’t stop loving you and He can’t stop forgiving you. Lucky for you and several others, Mr. Frantz, huh?
