Cuda has desire

To the Editor:

We have watched McHenry lose retail businesses year after year for the past 10 years, only to have them replaced by flea markets, tattoo parlors and pistol ranges, none of which produces any magnitude of tax revenue.

We have watched the city donate our hard-earned tax money to bad investments, such as the riverwalk, and the Dobyn House property. Now we also have a doggie park, which we never needed, another example of wasted government time and resources.

It is time we get Steve Cuda back in office as mayor to prevent any further poorly thought-out waste of our tax dollars.

Steve has the experience, education and desire to turn our city around and rebound from the past 10 years of decline.

Let’s elect Steve and get McHenry back to a city we can be proud of.
