Wauconda home damaged in overnight fire
WAUCONDA – A house was damaged during an overnight fire in Wauconda, according to the Wauconda Fire District.
Firefighters were called to a residence on the 25800 block of West Pleasant View Avenue at around 2 a.m. for a report of a structure fire, district officials said. Crews arrived to find flames showing from the rear of the home.
The roof of the vacant home was damaged, and crews had the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
