Free seminars planned on college funding

A series of free community workshops will be held in the area beginning April 11 to teach parents of high school students about the opportunities available to help them finance their children’s college education. 

The workshops will take parents through the intricacies of the college funding system from Free Application for Federal Student Aid forms to descriptions of all the major student grants and loans to strategies to help families save money. 

The workshops are free and will begin at 7 p.m.

A session will take place April 11 at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St. Another session will take place April 18 at the Huntley Park District, 12015 Mill St.
