Routzhan in District 47

Published: Monday, April 1, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

On April 9, we have an important decision to make about the future of School District 47.

This school board decision comes at a difficult time when the economy is still fragile and District 47 faces financial challenges. I have known Rob Routzhan for the past 10 years and am convinced that he is conscientious, principled and thoughtful in his decision-making process.

Since he joined the District 47 board four years ago, the budget was balanced by holding the line on expenses and cutting waste. We need his responsible and experienced leadership on the board in order to create the most possible positive outcome for students, parents, District 47 employees and taxpayers.

Please join me in voting for Robert Routzhan on April 9.
