Kids discover human remains in DuPage County woods

WOODBRIDGE, Ill. — DuPage County authorities are investigating after children discovered suspected human remains while playing in the woods this weekend.

Authorities say the skeletal remains were discovered Saturday.

On Sunday, investigators still hadn't been able to determine if they belonged to a male or female or how long they'd been in the area. The DuPage County Coroner is set to study the bones on Monday to try to identify the person and figure out how they died.
