Wagner and Porch

HARTLAND – Casandra Wagner of Greenwood and Joel Porch of Madison, Wis., were married in a double-ring ceremony at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hartland. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Eric Wagner, brother of the bride, and the Revs. Thomas Doyle, Rafal Wasilewski, Toby Collins and George Biryungi.

She is the daughter of Raymond and Carol Wagner of Greenwood. He is the son of Bruce Porch of Geneseo and the late Margaret Porch.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a figure-flattering white gown of imperial satin with modified square neckline outlined with beading, floral beaded embroidery enhancing the short sleeves and bodice with pleated wrap over the front and the A-line skirt with a chapel train.

She carried a handmade bouquet created by the bride and her mother that included deep red and pure white silk flowers and detailed with crystals, red beads and the mother of the bride's rosary woven among the flowers.

Matron of honor was Carla Raasch of Harvard, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Stephanie Schemerhorn of Byron, sister of the bride.

Best man was Bill Porch of Westmont, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsman was Barry Porch of Oklahoma City, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Damon Porch and Brant Porch, both of Westmont, nephews of the bridegroom.

Nuptial music was provided by Breda and Feargal King of Algonquin.

After a reception at the Nippersink Country Club in Genoa City, Wis., the couple took a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind., and a 2009 graduate of St. Xavier University in Chicago. She is a fourth-grade teacher at St. Margaret Mary School in Algonquin.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Forreston High School, a 2000 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal and a 2002 graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. He is a clinical appeals reviewer for UnitedHealth Group in Schaumburg.

They reside in Crystal Lake.
