Administer Justice plans free child support workshop

ELGIN – Administer Justice, a local nonprofit providing legal, financial, conflict resolution and educational services to low-income individuals, will hold a free “Basics of Child Support” workshop on today.

The workshop will start at 4 p.m. at the organization’s main office, 1750 Grandstand Place, Unit 15, Elgin.

Topics covered in this one-hour workshop include Illinois child support guidelines, modifying support and penalties for not paying support.

Attorney Marios Karayannis, a volunteer with Administer Justice, will present the workshop, which is free and open to all. Space is limited and registration is required by emailing seminars@administerjustice.org or by calling 847-844-1100.

Administer Justice, a Christian nonprofit legal aid, takes a holistic approach to client care providing free civil legal assistance, counseling on money management, debt reduction, and tax rights and responsibilities.
