The Huntley baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Glenbard East, 4-3, in a nonconference win Tuesday in Huntley.
Tyler Albright doubled to left field to score Mark Skonieczny and Bryce Only to win the game, with Skonieczny and Only each reaching on singles to start the inning.
Albright and Skonieczny each went 2 for 4, with Kameron Sallee and Jake Wagner each adding an RBI for the Red Raiders (5-0).
Jacobs 12, Conant 6: At Hoffman Estates, the Golden Eagles (4-0) scored five runs in the top of the third, with Aaron Meciej going 2 for 5 with three RBIs and a run scored in the nonconference win.
Ryan Sargent gave up one earned run on one hit and struck out nine over 51/3 innings for Jacobs.
Carmel 4, Cary-Grove 1: At Mundelein, Zach Marszal went 1 for 3 for the Trojans (4-2) with a home run for the lone score in a nonconference loss.
Harvard 3, North Boone 1: At Harvard, the Hornets rallied from a 1-0 deficit to earn a Big Northern Conference East Division win on a three-run third inning.
Peyton Schneider got credit for the win after allowing no earned runs on six hits, three walks and three strikeouts in 62/3 innings for Harvard (1-3, 1-0).
Burlington Central 12, Marengo 0 (5 inn.): At Burlington, the Indians (0-2) were no-hit by the Rockets in a BNC East loss.
Cary-Grove quadrangular: At Cary, Isaiah Mosher won two events for CL Central as the Tigers won the meet with 114 points.
Mosher took the 100-yard dash in 11.1 seconds and the long jump at 20 feet, 8 inches.
Cary-Grove took second place with 64 points, with Ricky Hurley sweeping the throwing events, taking the shot put at 49-21/2 and the discus at 159-2.
R.J. Schmidt won the 110 high hurdles for Dundee-Crown in 16.1 seconds, with the Chargers taking third with 61 points.
Marengo’s Adam Rogutich won the triple jump at 39-9, as the Indians finished with 26 points.
CL South 4, McHenry 3: At Crystal Lake, Brandon Jarva won his No. 1 singles match, 6-0, 6-1, for the Gators (1-0, 1-0) in their Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win, with Josh Ramos adding a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
Dennis Quitalig and Nick Higgin took No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win for the Warriors (0-1, 0-1).
Jacobs 7, Woodstock 0: At Woodstock, Kailash Panchapakesan (No. 1 singles), Brandon Sidor and Kingsley Bernardo (No. 1 doubles), Kristian Bernardo and Kendrick Chong (No. 2 doubles), and Lucas Bieneman and Michael Bujacz (No. 4 doubles) all won in straight 6-0 sets for the Golden Eagles (1-0) in their FVC crossover win over the Blue Streaks (0-1).
