New McHenry leadership needed

To the Editor:

At the March 21 candidates' forum, McHenry Mayor Sue Low stated that the city was negotiating with the J.P. Mathews bankruptcy trustee to purchase the McHenry Shores Water Company to provide the residents high quality water service.

On March 22, the city sent out letters to over 500 residents of the McHenry Shores subdivision, informing them that the city lost the bid. Either the mayor misled the folks at the candidates' forum, or she was kept out of the loop by city staff.

Just another indication that we need new leadership at City Hall. I will be voting for Steve Cuda on April 9.
