Moving Cary forward

Published: Saturday, April 6, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

During my tenure serving the residents of Cary as your trustee, I have had the pleasure of working with some very dedicated and forward-thinking individuals on the Village Board.

In the April 9 election, the voters will elect a new village president, and I urge those who care about our future to vote for Mark Kownick. While I have a sincere respect for Mark’s opponent, Bruce Kaplan, I have seen Mr. Kaplan expend more energy over issues of the past than opportunities for our future.

Yes, we can learn from past mistakes, and we have, but we need to have a leader who is progressive, professional and committed to the best interests of our entire community going forward. That person is Mark Kownick, who I support for the next Cary village president.

I urge you to join me in support of Mark’s vision for our future.
