Family Alliance offers Art Without Boundaries

WOODSTOCK – The Family Alliance Center for Adult Care is offering a program called Art Without Boundaries to members of its REACH Too memory loss program.

The unique program uses everyday pleasures, such as singing, movement, painting and storytelling to stimulate dramatic changes in the brain.

Art Without Boundaries is an association of trained artists who seek to improve the quality of life for adults who have had strokes, brain injuries, Alzheimer’s and other related disorders, and young people with autism and other learning disorders.

Although the therapeutic art organization claims its goal is to provide a rewarding experience, Art Without Boundaries points to testimonies that show significant improvement in some clients in verbal skills, mobility, combativeness, spatial acuity and comprehending instructions, to name a few.

For information, call Phil Versten at 815-338-3590.
