Sessions Jazz Quartet to perform Sunday at MCC

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Sessions Jazz Quartet will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Luecht Conference Center, 8900 Route 14.

The group will perform several jazz selections, including “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf” by Jimmy Smith, “Bemsha Swing” by Thelonious Monk, “On Green Dolphin Street” by Bronislau Kaper, “Take Five” by Paul Desmond, “God Bless the Child” by Billie Holiday, “Body and Soul” by Johnny Green, “Where is the Love” by Donny Hathaway and “Never Can Say Goodbye” by Clifton Davis and Michael Jackson.

Sessions Jazz Quartet consists of Al Skaronea on piano, Bill Toalson on trumpet, Charlie Rigg on bass and Brad Skaronea on drums. In addition, there will be Bill Lomax and Kenya Owens-Reich on vocals, Christine Gilmer on saxophone and Todd Skaronea on guitar.

The concert is free and open to the public.
