HHS freshman earns Student of the Semester award

Huntley High School recently announced freshman Casey Haayer as recipient of the Student of the Semester award sponsored by Edward Jones Investments.

Casey’s transition to high school has been positive as well as successful. His teachers report that he is a natural born leader who cares about his education as much as his fellow students. He participates daily in class and is always prepared. He is always extremely respectful, and takes responsibility for his actions both inside and outside of school.

According to Mr. Rick Crider, a coach who worked with Casey during the football season, “Casey is one of the hardest working and most dedicated young men that I have ever worked with. He has very clear goals for himself, and has shown the commitment necessary to achieve them.”

Casey’s math teacher, Mrs. Carol Sikora, shared that he is an outstanding young man who has transitioned exceptionally well from middle school to high school. He is dedicated to both his extracurricular and academic career here at Huntley High School.
