McDonald’s meals under 500 calories

I’m not trying to encourage people to head to “the Golden Arches” for their meals, but I do want to convey the message that there are some choices you can make there that can still be part of a relatively healthy diet. Here are some ideas for meal combinations that are 500 calories or less.

 - Egg McMuffin or Sausage Burrito and 12 oz. Wild Berry smoothie – 500 calories

 - Egg McMuffin or Sausage Burrito and Fruit and Yogurt Parfait – 450 calories

 - 6 piece Chicken Nugget, Cheeseburger or Grilled Ranch Snack Wrap and 12 oz. smoothie – 470-500 calories

 - Grilled Chicken Classic, side salad with low fat Italian or Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing – 405-420 calories

 - Grilled Chicken Ranch BLT, 8 oz. low fat white milk, and apples – 495 calories

 - BBQ Grilled Snack Wrap, side salad with low fat Italian or vinaigrette dressing, and Fruit and Yogurt Parfait – 455-475 calories

 - 4 piece Chicken Nugget, side salad with low fat Italian or vinaigrette dressing, and 12 oz. smoothie – 460-500 calories

 - 6 piece Chicken nugget, side salad with low fat Italian or vinaigrette dressing, and Fruit and Yogurt Parfait – 500 calories

 - Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken and Southwest dressing and 8 oz. low fat white milk

For non-caloric beverages, stick with water, plain iced tea or tea sweetened with artificial sweeteners, and/or diet pop.
