Applications sought for Carpentersville Paint-A-Thon

CARPENTERSVILLE – Applications now are available for the annual Carpentersville Paint-A-Thon.

Through the program, the Carpentersville Paint-A-Thon Committee paints houses for senior citizens and disabled veterans in the community who are in need of financial and medical assistance.

Qualified seniors must be age 65 or up and own their home (not rent it). Disabled veterans do not need to be age 65 to qualify.

Applications can be picked up at the Community Development Center at the Carpentersville Village Hall.

Applications are due by June 30. Painting will take place Sept. 7. The rain date is Sept 14.

The Carpentersville Paint-A-Thon Committee will be raising money via raffle ticket sales and donation cans at local businesses.

The group also accepts donations of paint and painting supplies.
