JOHNSBURG – As work starts on Johnsburg Road, residents can get more information and ask questions at an upcoming meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 29 at the McHenry Township Hall, 3703 N. Richmond Road, Johnsburg.

An overview of the first phase of the project, its timeline and detour information will be provided. There also will be time for public comment.

The plan is to widen the road to three lanes – one in each direction and a center lane for turning. Traffic signals will be installed at Riverside Drive and Spring Grove Road.

The second phase will include installation of a roundabout where Johnsburg Road, St. Johns Avenue and Chapel Hill Road meet.

Those who can’t make the meeting or have other questions can contact Todd Destree, a construction operations manager with HR Green, at 815-509-9307 or
