Published: Sunday, April 21, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St., will host “Electronic Tools for Birding” at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Anyone can take advantage of electronic tools, such as Cornell University’s eBird, and smart phone apps, such as iBird and BirdsEye, to improve their birding experience. They can become “citizen scientists” and contribute data to advance the science of birding.

Co-sponsored by the McHenry County Audubon Society, this program will include demonstrations of relevant Internet sites and different birding apps.

Registration is requested for this program and can be done online at www.woodstockpubliclibrary.org or by phone to 815-338-0542.
