CRYSTAL LAKE – A Crystal Lake woman on probation for animal cruelty to horses, was again charged with the offense.

Eight horses are now in the care of the Hooved Animal Humane Society and Jamie Koy, 39, has been arrested on animal cruelty charges.

Koy, of 6102 E. Hillside Drive, was charged Wednesday with four counts of cruel treatment of animal, a Class 4 felony.

Koy was on probation for a 2010 case in which she was charged with several counts of cruel treatment to horses in her care, the McHenry Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Animal Control was inspecting her horses as part of Koy's probation, when an officer found the allegedly neglected horses.

Koy posted 10 percent of her $10,000 bond, or $1,000, on Wednesday and was released. Her next court date is May 15.
