Harvard District 50 seeks school board applicants

HARVARD – District 50 is accepting letters of interest to fill the school board opening left by the resignation of Jessica Bauman.

Applicants must be 18 years old, a registered voter and a resident of Chemung Township for at least one year. They cannot be employed by the school district.

Letters should be emailed to school board President Dick Stoxen at dickstoxen@gmail.com. The deadline is 5 p.m. May 14. Individuals should include why they think they’d be a strong addition to the board. The letter should include a statement verifying the individual meets the requirements of the position.

The board will interview candidates May 21.
