EAST DUNDEE – The Fox River Valley Public Library District is accepting applications for its Summer Reading Teen Volunteer Program.

Applicants must be incoming seventh- through 12th-graders to participate in the program, which runs from June 3 through July 13. This is a great program to help teens looking for volunteer hours, job experience for a résumé, or even a letter of recommendation.

Each volunteer will be required to work a 2- to 2½-hour weekly shift. Duties include staffing the Summer Reading Club station and assisting with programs.

Teens can apply and volunteer at either the Dundee Library, located at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee, or the Randall Oaks Branch Library at 500 N. Randall Road (lower level of the Randall Oaks Recreation Center) in West Dundee.

Interested teens must apply in person at their desired location. Questions also can be directed to for the Dundee Library or for the Randall Oaks Branch.
