Services set for Ill. teacher killed in fall

O'FALLON — Services are set for a southwestern Illinois high school teacher who authorities say died after falling from a ladder.

O'Fallon Township High School industrial technology teacher Matt Seipp died Monday at a St. Louis hospital, a day after the fall. He was 33.

Police Chief John Betten says officers responding to Seipp's home Sunday found him near a ladder. Betten says Seipp apparently had been working in the garage and sustained head injuries.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the high school, then again at Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights from 9 a.m. Saturday until services begin there an hour later. Burial will be at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
