CHICAGO (AP) — The outbound lanes of the Kennedy Expressway in the far north end of Chicago that were closed after a fatal traffic accident have been reopened.

The Illinois State Police say the lanes were reopened more than three hours after the 6 a.m. collision involving a big rig truck and three other vehicles.

The state police say one person in a car was killed. Two other people were injured. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says it has not yet released any information about the person who was killed and there was not any information immediately available about the others who were injured.
