CARY – The village needs to fill one seat on its police pension fund board.

Village President Mark Kownick is accepting applications through June 5. Applications are available at Village Hall or the village website: www.caryillinois.com.

The police pension board is a five-member board, with two of those members being appointed by the village president. The other two are police department members, and one is selected by beneficiaries of the fund.

Meetings happen four times a year, and board members need to complete 32 hours of training during their first year of service and 16 hours of continuing education each year after.

For information, call the village at 847-639-0003.
