Cary Park District holding photo contest

CARY – The Cary Park District is holding an amateur photo contest.

Photos have to be taken at a Cary Park District park or facility or during a park district recreational program or special event, the park district said in a news release.

To enter the contest, people need to fill out a contest form, submit two 4-by-6 photo quality prints of the same picture and an electronic copy of the photo on a CD-ROM. Entries need to be sent to Katie Hughes, 255 Briargate Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Entry forms are available at, the community center or at the Kraus Senior Center. People are allowed up to two entries.

Entries are due by 8 p.m. June 10.

Photos will be displayed in July at the community center to commemorate National Recreation and Parks Month. Winners will be announced at the end of July, according to the news release.
