Fire destroys Harvard barn

HARVARD – A fire destroyed a Harvard barn on Monday morning, according the Harvard Fire Protection District.

Crews were called to the 9200 block of White Oaks Road at around 6:30 a.m. for a report of a structure fire, according to authorities. Firefighters arrived to find a barn in that area fully engulfed in flames.

The blaze was under control around 8 a.m.

The barn was unoccupied and hay was stored inside.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters from Woodstock, Hebron-Alden-Greenwood, Richmond, Marengo, Boone County and Sharon, Wis., assisted with the incident.
