Cary Farmers Market kicks off June 2
Sunday, June 2, kicks off the third season of the Cary Farmers Market, one of the most rewarding events the chamber has ever initiated for the community. Last year, about 1,500 residents attended the market each week to socialize with friends and shop from a great selection of farm fresh products.
The Cary Farmers Market will be held every Sunday, June 2 through Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be located in the north commuter parking lot near the intersection of High Road and West Main Street in downtown Cary.
This year the Cary Farmers Market will feature nearly 25 vendors offering a wide selection of items, including fresh produce, baked goods, jams, dressings, farm fresh meats, eggs, cheeses, and specialty items. In addition, our local organic farmer is returning with tomatoes, herbs and fresh produce. We have some new vendors featuring healthy baked breads and muffins, a gourmet popcorn vendor, nut butters, dips and spices, honey, and more. The market selection will vary with the season.
The first Sunday of each month the market will feature special events and extra vendors. Free chamber shopping bags will be given to the first 100 shoppers, free bags of groceries will be raffled off, and there will be outdoor music on June 2, July 7, Aug. 4 and Sept. 1.
