Impressive and wasteful

To the Editor:

From the 1920s until 2012, America lost 606,493 dead, 982,778 wounded and spent $26.723 trillion to defeat the tyrants of the world. In writing these statistics, two things are sticking in my mind – impressive and wasteful.

To me, it is definitely impressive that the American people spend that many lives, so many wounded and all this money to preserve their American way of live and their Constitution.

It would be wasteful if the American people followed President Barack Obama’s socialistic, or maybe even communistic, way of life into oblivion.
