Obama prepares for Chicago fundraising visit

CHICAGO — President Barack Obama's heading back home to Chicago for a short overnight trip, but he won't have any events that are open to the public.

The president's set to arrive in the city Wednesday afternoon. The White House says he'll attend two evening fundraisers for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee before returning to Washington on Thursday.

The Democrat spent Tuesday visiting beach communities in New Jersey that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy.
