Gas station proposed near Johnsburg Walmart

Published: Saturday, June 8, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

JOHNSBURG – A Johnsburg committee will take a look at a gas station and convenience store at its meetings this week.

The proposed Murphy Oil gas station and 1,200-square-foot convenience store would be located immediately south of the Route 31 entrance to the Walmart development, according to Village Administrator Claudett Peters and the development application.

The developers are not asking for any variations or to change the zoning from B3 commercial zoning. The Johnsburg Architectural Review Committee will consider the plans and make a recommendation to the Johnsburg Village Board at its meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnsburg Village Hall, 1515 Channel Beach Ave.
