ALGONQUIN – The village of Algonquin and the Algonquin Public Arts Commission will host the sixth annual Algonquin Art on the Fox fine art show on Saturday and Sunday.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at Riverfront Park, which overlooks the scenic Fox River in the heart of the community’s historical downtown. Riverfront Park is on North Harrison Street, a block north of Algonquin Road.
Algonquin’s Art on the Fox is free and open to the public, and artists will have artwork for sale in media including painting, photography, jewelry, glass and stone. Among the returning professional artists will be past Best in Show award winners photographer Andrew Rousey of Woodstock and jeweler Erika Janssen of Algonquin. A complete list of exhibitors can be found at www.artonthefox.com.
The fine art show is being sponsored in part by the Algonquin Public Arts Commission, which has organized an annual public art program since 2005.
