Four from area make All-State baseball teams

Prairie Ridge right fielder Bryan Klendworth, Huntley center fielder Colin Lyman and Huntley third baseman-pitcher Bryce Only were named to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A All-State team.

Hampshire's Tyler Crater was picked to the Class 3A team.

Klendworth hit .508 with eight home runs and an area-best 45 RBIs this season. The Wolves finished tied for third in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division with McHenry and won a Class 4A regional title. He will play at NAIA Olivet Nazarene.

Lyman and Only were fourth-year starters for the Red Raiders, who tied for the FVC Valley championship with Crystal Lake South.

Lyman, who will play at Louisville, hit .413 with a homer and 23 RBIs out of the leadoff spot. He was 14 of 18 in stolen bases and scored 37 runs.

Only hit .362 with six homers and 30 RBIs and also was strong on the mound for the Raiders, although he had not previously pitched in his high school career.

Crater hit .385 with 13 RBIs, 10 doubles and was 10 of 12 in stolen bases.
