MCC to host Ireland trip preview

CRYSTAL LAKE – Create memories to last a lifetime with a trip to Ireland, including scenic views and ancient castles this fall.

To learn about the trip highlights, join McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours office for “A Taste of Ireland” trip preview from 4 to 5 p.m. June 17, in Room A113 at the college, 8900 Route 14.

The trip will be Oct. 6-15, featuring a 10-day air tour that includes treasured castles, cathedrals, magnificent landscapes and a chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone.

Trip highlights include 15 meals, air from Chicago to Dublin, a traditional Irish dinner, entertainment at the Merry Ploughboys Pub and a stop at the Guinness Storehouse. Visitors also will see St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Book of Kells at Trinity College in Dublin, Glendalough, Kilkenny Castle, Old Midleton Distillery, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Kissane Sheep Farm, Bunratty Folk Park, a Medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle and King John’s Castle.  

The cost of this seven-day trip is $3,343 for double and $3,932 for single.
