Dundee Library, Randall Oaks Branch to take food for fines

EAST DUNDEE – Exchange canned goods and other nonperishable items for library overdue fines during “Food for Fines" from Monday through June 29 at the Dundee Library in East Dundee and the Randall Oaks Branch Library in West Dundee.

All donated items will go to the F.I.S.H. Food Pantry.

Patrons will get these amounts in current fines waived for each item they donate: $1 for food items (canned, boxed, pre-packaged, etc.); $5 for personal/baby Items (oral care, toothbrushes, wipes, baby oil, powder, ointment); $5 for feminine products; and $10 for disposable diapers (one package, size 2 and up).

Repackaged, expired or travel-sized items cannot be accepted. Replacement fees for lost or damaged materials, collection agency fees, and card replacement fees are not eligible. Items should be brought to the account services desk along with a library card.

The Dundee Library is at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee. The Randall Oaks Branch Library is at 500 N. Randall Road in West Dundee.
