Man admits sexual contact with girl

WOODSTOCK – A former McHenry County man was sentenced to six years in prison for having sexual contact with a young girl.

Douglas L. Miller, 42, pleaded guilty Wednesday to predatory criminal sexual assault as part of a plea deal accepted by McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather.

Prather gave him the minimum sentence associated with a Class X felony.

He was facing up to 30 years in prison.

Court records indicate his address is in Paducah, Ky.

According to Assistant State’s Attorney Sharyl Eisenstein, Miller sexually abused the young girl at a baby sitter’s house when the victim was 6 or 7 years old.

Miller was the baby sitter’s boyfriend, she said.

Miller must serve 85 percent, or five years, of his sentence and register for life as a sex offender.

As part of the plea deal, two other predatory criminal sexual abuse charges against Miller were dropped.
