Reisinger

McHenry, sr., P

Reisinger suffered some tough luck with lack of run support, going 4-3, while posting an ERA of 1.38. He struck out 45 and walked 18 in 56 innings and posted a WHIP of 1.12. He will pitch at NCAA Division I Illinois-Chicago.

Tyler

Hall

Crystal Lake South, sr., P

Hall was 9-2 with a 2.17 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. He struck out 61 batters and walked 13 in 58 innings. He also contributed to the offense with a .417 average and 15 RBIs, playing mainly third base when he didn’t pitch. He will pitch for D-II Tusculum (Tenn.).

Evan

Blunk

Jacobs, sr., P

Blunk was 4-3 with a 1.42 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. He struck out 62 batters in 591/3 innings and walked 15. Blunk threw one of his best games, seven innings with three hits and no earned runs, in Jacobs’ 3-2 win over Hononegah in a sectional semifinal.

Reitcheck

Prairie Ridge, sr., P

Reitcheck was close to an automatic win when he set foot on the mound for the Wolves. He went 9-1 with a 1.35 ERA, a WHIP of 0.98, 94 strikeouts and 28 walks in 621/3 innings. The left-hander will pitch for D-I Pennsylvania next year.

Edgar

Ross

Marian Central, sr., P

Ross was 5-0 with a 1.32 ERA and a WHIP of 0.60. He struck out 26 and walked six in 41 innings, but also was used at shortstop to provide good defense. He led the Hurricanes with 21 RBIs and four home runs and batted .398.

Cody

Freund

McHenry, jr., C

Freund hit in the No. 3 spot and played tough defense behind the plate for the Warriors. He hit .356 with one homer and 19 RBIs. He also was 6-0 as a pitcher with a 2.26 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 31 innings.

Max

Meitzler

Crystal Lake South, sr., Corner IF

Meitzler, a repeat first-teamer, hit .411 with one homer and a team-high 32 RBIs. The Gators tied Huntley for the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division title with Meitzler hitting cleanup. He will play at D-III Dubuque (Iowa) next year.

Only

Huntley, sr., Corner IF

Only hit .362 with six homers and 30 RBIs for the Red Raiders, who tied for the FVC Valley title. He had 11 doubles and was a big contributor on the mound. He was 4-4 with a 3.45 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 462/3 innings. He will play at D-I Nebraska.

Connor Skrypek

Crystal Lake Central, sr., Middle IF

Skrypek had one of the area’s best averages at .469 and finished with 45 hits and scored 32 runs. Skrypek drove in 14 runs and led Central with 11 stolen bases. Skrypek plans on walking on at D-I Coastal Carolina next year.

Matt

Sullivan

Huntley, jr., Middle IF

Sullivan was another reason Huntley’s offense was so prolific, hitting .393 with three homers and 23 RBIs. He had seven doubles, scored 22 runs and committed seven errors in the field for the FVC Valley co-champions.

Colin

Lyman

Huntley, sr., OF

Lyman is a third-time first-team selection after hitting .413 with one home run and 23 RBIs from the leadoff spot for the Red Raiders. He stole 14 bases in 18 attempts, had 43 hits and committed only two errors in center field. He will play at D-I Louisville.

Jordan

Getzelman

Prairie Ridge, sr., OF

Getzelman is a third-time first-team pick and was one of the area’s top defenders in center field. He hit .354 with an area-best 10 homers and 39 RBIs. He scored 37 runs and was perfect on his 14 stolen-base tries. He will play at D-I Missouri.

Bryan

Klendworth

Prairie Ridge, sr., OF

Klendworth had a .508 average, eight homers and an area-high 45 RBIs. The Northwest Herald Player of the Year had 25 extra-base hits, a school-record 64 hits and 21 stolen bases. He will play at NAIA Olivet Nazarene.

Mark Skonieczny

Huntley, jr., Util.

Skonieczny led Huntley with a .432 average, seven home runs and 36 RBIs. The right fielder finished with 51 hits and scored 43 runs. Skonieczny had a three-homer game when the Raiders beat Prairie Ridge. He committed to Illinois.
