McHENRY – Traffic on Charles J. Miller Road will be shifted onto the newly constructed lanes Wednesday, according to a project alert.
The shift of both eastbound and westbound traffic will allow crews to reconstruct what will be the eastbound lanes, the alert said.
The project is expected to wrap up in mid-October.
It includes widening the two-lane road to four lanes from near the entrance to the South Wastewater Treatment Plant to River Road and installing a new two-lane bridge over the Fox River to supplement the existing bridge. It is expected to cost $12 million, according to the project’s website.
