Woodstock man charged with DUI after fatal crash in Wis.

A Woodstock man has been arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated – Homicide after a crash in Walworth, Wis., that resulted in the death of a passenger.

At 7:44 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a Jeep Wagoneer hitting a tree.

The alleged driver has been identified as Daniel P. Consolo, 24, of Woodstock.

According to a release by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Cobblestone Road in Walworth. There were four passengers in the vehicle.

Passenger Kevin D. Green, 22, of Fontana, Wis., was initially taken to Lakeland Medical Center, then transferred by Flight For Life to a Milwaukee-area hospital where he died from wounds suffered in the crash.

Passenger Ryan A. Szudarski, 21, had no apparent injuries. His twin brother, Adam, was admitted to a McHenry County hospital with serious injuries. His condition has not been updated at this time, according to the release.

Consolo is being held in a Wisconsin hospital with severe injuries.

He will be seen for an initial bond setting when he is medically cleared.
