Algonquin announces Summer Concert Series

ALGONQUIN – The village of Algonquin invites families to this year’s Algonquin Riverfront Park Summer Concert Series.

The free concerts are held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings.

New for the summer 2013 concert series will be the Kona Shaved Ice Truck. Parking is available on and around North Harrison Street.  

The schedule: June 27, The Flat Cats (blues/swing); July 4, HiFi Superstar (1980s/1990s Cover); July 11, Mandy Z. & Rural Route One (country); July 18, Liberty’s Teeth (pop); July 25, Pirates Over 40 (Caribbean) at Algonquin Lakes Park; Aug. 1, Peach’s Beach Party (trop-rock); Aug. 8, R-Gang (Motown/R&B).

The July 25 concert will be held at Algonquin Lakes Park, 700 Lake Plumleigh Way. in conjunction with the Founders’ Day festivities.

In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be canceled.
