CARPENTERSVILLE – A Carpentersville man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to sexual assault of a child.

Alfredo Vidigaray, 37, of the 100 block of San Juan Road in Carpentersville, must serve at least 85 percent of his 30-year sentence for the criminal sexual assault of a minor he knew.

Vidigaray pleaded guilty to two Class 1 felony sexual assault charges and received the maximum sentence of 15 years for each one. Between June 1, 2001, and Nov. 11, 2012, Vidigaray had sexual contact at least twice with the victim, who was younger than 17.

Vidigaray was given credit for 218 days served in the Kane County Jail, where he was held on $500,000 bond.
