Fifteen McHenry County residents arrested Thursday on narcotics charges

Fifteen McHenry County residents were arrested Thursday as a result of a one-day arrest warrant roundup targeting narcotics violations.

The arrest warrants were for misdemeanor and felony drug crimes. Five subjects also were charged on scene with additional felony and misdemeanor charges that were all narcotics related, and $1,130 was seized from one subject, according to a news release.

The roundup – led by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Apprehension Unit, Narcotics Unit and Intelligence Unit – began early Thursday morning and continued through Thursday afternoon.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Lake in the Hills Police Department, Cary Police Department and Woodstock Police Department worked together in the arrests.

“All of these departments are members of the HEAT task force, and working together we are targeting heroin and illegal drug dealers in our county and beyond,” Undersheriff Andrew Zinke said in the release.

The following McHenry County residents were arrested and charged Thursday:

• Ethan M. Peltier, 23, of Lake in the Hills – unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis – felony;

• Michael J. Banet, 19, of Lake in the Hills – unlawful delivery of a look-a-like substance – felony;

• James L. Neff, 36, of Wonder Lake – unlawful delivery/possession of a controlled substance – felony;

• Maureen M. Medel, 34, of Lake in the Hills – unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia – felony/misdemeanor;

• James J. Boyle, 34, of Woodstock – unlawful possession of a controlled substance – felony;

• Adam A. Nowakowski, 27, of Woodstock – unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school – felony;

• Deborah A. Cash, 56, of McHenry – delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia – felony/misdemeanor;

• Daniel C. Cash, 28, of McHenry – delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis – felony;

• Lindsay L. Lamarche, 28, of McHenry – possession of drug paraphernalia – misdemeanor;

• Leo A. Nelson, 21, of Lake in the Hills – possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia – misdemeanor;

• Angelo V. Bernardo, 21, of Lake in the Hills – possession of drug paraphernalia – misdemeanor;

• Russell W. Kaar, 23, of McHenry – delivery/manufacturing cannabis – felony;

• Julio C. Fuentes, 35, of Cary – unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, driving while license revoked – felony;

• Ricky Pearce, 32, of Harvard – unlawful possession of a controlled substance – felony;

• And a juvenile, 17, of Lake in the Hills – unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia – felony/misdemeanor.
