ALGONQUIN – Marianos Pizzeria Restaurant & Bar, 1748 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, is having a grand opening June 25.

The restaurant opened about a year ago in Algonquin Commons as La Trattoria. The owners, Mariano and Theresa Scandurra, have dropped the name La Trattoria and are relaunching as Marianos, with a new menu highlighting its Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

The menu also features char-grilled burgers, baby back ribs, original pasta specialties, sandwiches, salads, and Wood Stone flatbreads.

“We are committed to a quality product,” said Theresa Scandurra. “We make our menu items in-house using fresh ingredients, no chemicals or preservatives. We make all of our sauces, meatballs, Italian dressings, soup, pizza dough and pizza sauces,” she said. “We use 100 percent real cheese on our pizzas and our homemade mac-and-cheese sauce.”

She said the restaurant is working on compiling a craft beer list to pair with its pizza.
