Crystal Lake’s Joe Affrunti had three birdies in the final seven holes of the Travelers Championship on Friday in Cromwell, Conn., making amends for a triple bogey on No. 10, to finish the first two days at even par and stay just above the cut line.
Affrunti is playing his second PGA Tour event since returning from a wrist injury. He shot a 1-under-par 34 on the front nine and was even par on the back for an 18-hole score of 69.
He tees off at 7:21 a.m. Saturday with Chez Reavie.
