McHENRY – McHenry County Police Charities is accepting registration for the seventh annual Donut Run motorcycle ride to be held July 13.

The Donut Run will be at Woodstock Harley-Davidson, 2050 S. Eastwood Drive, Woodstock. Registration is $20 for a single rider and $25 for a double rider. Advance registration guarantees a Donut Run T-shirt or pin. The first motorcycle will leave Harley-Davidson at 10:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the event help less fortunate children in McHenry County by pairing them with a police officer for a day of shopping as part of the Christmas shopping program.

In 2012, more than 200 children participated.

The event is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Public activities include lunch, K-9 demonstrations, a motorcycle demo, a live band and a doughnut-eating contest.

Sponsors include Woodstock Harley-Davidson, Walmart, Rita Corp., Sage Products, Iron Justice McHenry County and Country Donuts.

For information or to register, call Aimee Knop at 815-334-4735 or visit mchenrycountypolicecharities.org.
