CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Park District staff has planned drop-in activities to make visits to Main Beach even more fun.

On Tuesdays, children ages 4 to 12 can take part in Crazy Craft Tuesdays. Drop in anytime between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 13 for a new craft each week led by Crystal Lake Park District arts and craft instructors. Sign up at the Main Beach office before the start of the program each Tuesday. The program fee is $3 per child.

On Thursdays during the 2:15 p.m. swim break, meet Crystal Lake Park District lifeguards and beach staff for Wet N Wild water fun. Announcements will be made each Thursday before the 2:15 p.m. swim about where to meet on the beach and what activity is planned. Best of all, it’s free.

For information on these activities and other events at Main Beach, call 815-477-5404 or visit www.crystallakeparks.org/Parks-Facilities/beaches.asp.
