HUNTLEY – The Illinois State Police and Huntley Police Department will conduct a joint roadside safety check in Huntley on Friday evening.

Officers will watch for drivers who are driving under the influence, transporting open alcoholic beverages, operating unsafe vehicles, and driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.

The Roadside Safety Check is part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign and is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The grant is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
