Saying thanks

To the Editor:

On June 16, I had breakfast at Tony’s Cafe in Crystal Lake.

About the time I finished my meal, one of the servers and the hostess came to tell me that my check had been picked up by a gentleman who was seated behind me.

The person was a perfect stranger to me, and he bought my breakfast. How kind and generous. I only wish I could thank him personally, but since I cannot, I hope he reads the paper and knows how much his kindness meant to me. Thank you.

Then on June 17, I went to CVS Pharmacy on Randall Road, used my debit card to pay for my purchases, and promptly dropped the card in the parking lot. Another kind person picked up my debit card and gave it to the cashier, who kept it safe until I claimed it about one hour later.

There are truly wonderful people in this world, and I want everyone to know how fortunate I am to have been treated so kindly by two perfect strangers. God bless you both.
