Algonquin imposes watering restrictions

ALGONQUIN – Effective Monday, the village of Algonquin will begin the "yellow" water status.

Yellow status means even-odd days of watering landscaping before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Even addresses may water on even calendar days, and odd addresses may water on odd calendar days, before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m.

All water classifications (green, yellow, orange and red) prohibit watering the law or landscaping between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The village is committed to conserving water and is strictly enforcing outside watering regulations. Violators will be ticketed.
