Dundee Township Park District to host 2 weekend concerts

The Dundee Township Park District will host a free Concert in the Park on Friday and a concert and fireworks show on Saturday.

Attendees should bring a blanket, a picnic or a relaxing chair and enjoy the free entertainment for the whole family.

On Friday, the Saturday June Band will play an eclectic mix of the 1960s through current songs at Huffman Park in West Dundee. The concert runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A special concert and fireworks show will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Meadowdale Park in Carpentersville. The band, BBI, will perform a mix of Motown, blues and rock. After the concert – about 9:30 p.m. – there will be a fireworks show. Patrons are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Carpentersville Fish Food Pantry.
